According to the EPA, the United States throws away more than 16 million tons of used textile waste in 2015. To make a difference to toward SDG's 12 and 17 we held a clothing swap to reduce consumption and partnered with a local organization called From Outside In that takes reused clothing and donates to communities in need. We were able to raise 70 dollars in funds for From Outside In and were able to get 23 participants and over 100 items in donations. We hope to get 50 attendees and over 200 clothes in donations.
