Problem Statement

Promote environmental sustainability within the region and enhance the well-being of local communities by fostering citizen awareness of core values that secure improved environmental conditions for current and future residents of the province. This project signifies a symbolic commitment towards adopting and implementing initiatives that may shape future public policies, demonstrating dedication to the betterment of our environment and the community's future.


Target Group

Beneficiaries: The community of the province of Tucumán.

Contributors: candidates running for elections at provincial and national level.

Executors: Global Shapers from Tucuman Hub and candidates running for elections at provincial and national level.


Proposed Solution

Within the framework of upcoming provincial and municipal elections, the Global Shapers Tucuman Hub will ask candidates to sign commitment agreements for reforestation and restoration of degraded areas and public spaces.


Hub Activities


  • Invitation to candidates to subscribe and sign the pact

  • Technical advice and support in the planting and subsequent care of the plantation of trees

  • Compliance monitoring

  • Publicity and socialization of the activities carried out.


Project short and long-term goals

In the short term, the objectives are to secure the commitment of as many candidates as possible through the signing of the "Reforestation Pacts" and then, raise awareness of the work done to give it social significance.


In the long term, the objectives are to put the environmental issue on the table, give it prominence on the public policy agenda in our community, position Hub Tucuman as a reference in the field, and build relationships with political actors to develop programs with a positive impact on the environment.
