The Cape Coast Hub intends to recycle 30000 tonnes of single-use plastics; educate 10000 individuals and 2500 households to effectively manage single-use plastics by December 2021.

The Hub kicked off this project with a beach clean-up and community sensitization by reaching out to 550 individuals and 60 households.

This project is in collaboration with other organizations like Cape 360, Dzi Wopoano Nyi, and the inhabitants to educate and collect the plastics for further processing by Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly (CCMA). 1100 tonnes of plastic waste was collected during the series of clean up.
