Turin Hub has supported Fondo Ambiente Italiano (FAI) in the development and implementation of a course about the cultural heritage of Turin tailored specifically for immigrants. The programme combined lectures delivered by local experts, interactive activities facilitated by Shapers, and field trips to major landmarks, museums and exhibitions.


Nearly 40 participants have signed up to attend the course spanning six Saturdays, starting on 18th January 2020. Due to the covid pandemic, the last two sessions were postponed and thus the programme concluded in September 2020.


The course included the following modules:
    1.    Gates and walls
    2.    Space industry
    3.    Temples and religions
    4.    Volunteering and associations
    5.    Theatre, cinema and TV
    6.    History, art and museums


Participants had the opportunity to learn about the excellences of Turin from leading local experts and visit stellar locations free of charge. Following the completion of the course, they were certified by FAI as “Mediators of art and culture” and invited to serve as “bridges” (“Ponte”) between FAI and their co-nationals living in the city.
