Power Nanays (Power Mothers)

The test scores (National Achievement Tests 2013-2014) of primary and secondary students in Iloilo City are among the lowest in the region. These results are symptomatic of deeper issues and problems.

Studies show (Chua, 2004) that high-performing students surface when there is a supportive home environment. In this light, we need to engage the parents.

Power Nanays
(Power Mothers) is a half-year-long program that aims to train 25,000 mothers on the basics of effective parenting. It is anchored on the 4 Agreements, that, when practiced by the mothers, will help their children learn better and perform well in school.
