The mission of the project is threefold:

1. Acting as a link between inmates and society. This will be furthered as the project team helps develop marketable products that can be manufactured in the prison premises with focus on carpentry/wooden furniture, baking, small textile products. Being of aid to general public and seeing their products in demand will greatly enhance the self-esteem and sense of utility towards society.


2. ​Enabling reconciliation with society and everyday life. We intend to introduce regular modules of yoga, meditation, more sessions with a Dehradun Drum Circle and possibly counselling.  


3. Providing legal aid to needy inmates. For those who cannot afford or have no means to legal help, we shall organize a team of lawyers who will address this need.
