Problem: Exacerbated by the pandemic, the divide between locals and the expat community has continued to widen; promoting an “us vs them” mentality. How can we better foster intercultural connection and acceptance of cross-culture differences between locals and te expat community in Singapore?

Solution implemented: Developed a new civic conversations toolkit ("board game") to facilitate local-foreigner integration, in partnership with the Singapore National Youth Council and SINDA Youth Club. This toolkit was launched on 24 November 2023, at the event, titled “Building Bridges: Unveiling Challenges, Seeking Connections”. Participants from different nationalities came together to discuss integration opportunities as well as challenges, reflect on their own perspectives and most importantly, make new friendships with each other.
