Purple Rain is Global Shapers Bilbao Hub’s key action line to promote gender equality. The community of Global Shapers in Bilbao is aligned with the sustainable development goal number 5 - achieve gender equality and empower women and girls – and has therefore set some strategic objectives to create projects with impact in Bilbao. The name of Purple Rain comes from the idea of connecting the people of Bilbao through the rain (a common element in our lives in the city and the wider region of the Basque Country) and the promotion of gender equality.
