Reading Corners is an initiative of the Global Shapers Managua Hub, aimed at fostering reading and learning through story- and tale-reading workshops for children aged 5 to 14.

Each Reading Corner consists of a 3-hour session organized on Saturdays at schools and education centers. Groups of 15 to 20 children participate in each session, organized in partnership with 2 local organizations: Bibloko and Seeds of Learning. Participating Shapers contribute by reading stories and tales to the groups of children, and by exposing the children to topics of interest such as climate change, women empowerment, civic engagement, etc. Children also have the opportunity to bring their own stories to share with the group.
