The issue of gender equity has evolved in Haiti over the past 30 years. However, much remains to be done to achieve full equity. This is why the Port-au-Prince hub has decided to launch reflections on this issue. Each year the Hub chooses a topic around gender in Haiti in order to raise awareness among young people through conferences, debates and workshops on the importance of gender equity and the benefits that our country can draw from it in its march towards development. The Hub hopes that by the end of this decade at least 30% of women will be able to participate in all decisions, in development, be entrepreneurs and in general in all activities of the country as our constitution requires.
