Refugee Art Exhibit 2021

Problem Statement: How to fundraise to deliver basic needs to a community of refugees in Greece, who based on legal restrictions, are unable to work and earn a living.

Target Group: Refugee community in Greece (Syrian, Afghanistan, Cameroon, and Congo).

Proposed Solution: This hub project collaborated with a US non-profit organization called Love Without Borders for Refugees in Need (https://lovewithoutborders4refugees.com/) to organize a fundraiser Refugee Art Exhibit, which kicked off on November 18th, 2021 and closed on the 25th of that month.

Hub Activities: The non-profit provided the hub project with artwork created by refugees living in camps in Greece. Funds raised through the event in the form of ticket and artwork sales in addition to donations, went towards these refugees. The project was able to secure the venue (local cafe called Le Suq) for free and secured sponsorship of beverages for the event from Dominion City Brewing Co.
