The Ottawa Hub hosted an art exhibit in support of Love Without Borders, which empowers traumatized refugees living in refugee camps in Greece by inspiring them to express their emotions through painting. For the very first time, this artwork was exhibited in Canada, with 100% of the proceeds from art sales returning to the artists to fill their immediate and unmet financial needs. Our special guests for the evening included the Mayor of Ottawa, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees Representative in Canada, and Kayra Martinez (founder of Love Without Borders). Thus far, the project has raised over $3,000 in support of refugees in Ottawa and abroad.
