Regenerate - Sowing meaning of life

Problem Statement:

In 2019, the highest consumption was registered in alcohol, multiple substances and marijuana (SECCATID, 2019). In addition, 2 out of every 6 people served by SECCATID (2019) are between 15 and 19 years old.

Target Group:

Residents of the Recovery Center for Alcoholics First Step (CRAPP)

Proposed Solution:

Faced with this problem, different spaces have been created such as the First Step Alcoholics Recovery Center (CRAPP). CRAPP residents need a holistic recovery for their social reintegration, therefore, the Regenerate project from the Guatemala City Global Shapers Hub (https://www.facebook.com/GlobalShapersGuate/), seeks to impact the rehabilitation and reintegration into society of CRAPP patients through therapeutic spaces connected with nature.

Hub Activities:

This impact will be achieved through:

  1. Light and Irrigation, Nutrition, Pest and Waste Management Workshops

  2. A garden care manual
