Restoring Nature

The project aimed to restore and rehabilitate existing and potential open green spaces that are currently ignored by city planners and the city's residents, especially along with unplanned residential settlements at its peripheries.

As the population expands, the city faces increasing challenges with respect to waste disposal, stormwater treatment and freshwater supply.

We set out not just to positively impact the macro situation including things like planting trees and their contribution toward reducing the amount of carbon in our atmosphere through our Reclaiming Open Green Spaces in Dar es Salaam" project but we also want to center our project on Wabongo", our city's residents themselves, so that we may improve outcomes on the micro-level as well including the general physical and mental health of our city's residents.
