On 25 September 2015, 193 countries of the UN General Assembly adopted a set of 17 Global Goals, the Sustainable Development Goals to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure prosperity for all as part of a new sustainable development agenda. 

Shape Kolhapur aims to include young people and inspire them to create and share solutions to issues pertaining to the Global Goals in their local areas. School, College and University students around Kolhapur region are asked to submit their proposals for sustainable development projects that might be put into action in Kolhapur in the form of a contest.

This imitative will open up possibilities for youths to be entrepreneurial and solve community challenges. Shape Kolhapur is an important step towards localizing the UN Global Goals.
