Shapers' Talk: “Reshaping International Platforms”

The Global Shapers Tunis Hub is launching its Shapers Talk series to address the most prominent and pressing issues in our community.

The first wave of these talks is nurtured by the hub’s willingness to challenge the status quo, witnessing the injustice faced by the Palestinians, and the lack of solid intervention from the international community.

Reshaping International Platforms” is a series of discussions around reshaping global platforms in the governance, economy, tech, media & spirituality spaces.

Our first session “Reshaping global governance” planned for November 10th will mainly highlight the gap perceived in existing international laws, their effectiveness and bindingness, and how the international community is supposed to intervene. It will be in the form of a 25-minute interview followed by a 15-minute Q&A. For our first session, our panelist is Dr. Khadija Moalla

With more than 30 years of experience in Development, Human Rights and Gender, including 12 years in Senior Leadership positions at the United Nations, Dr. Khadija Moalla holds a PhD in International Development Law from the University of Paris V, France. Since February 2020, she has been nominated to be one of the 20 Commissioners of the Lancet Commission on Gender and Global Health.

Goals:

  • Providing a platform to speak up, raise awareness about human rights and good governance practices,

  • Hear the expert view on best ways to reshape the current international platforms to match today's reality.
