The Global Shapers Bilbao Hub worked to highlight the impact of fast fashion in citizens’ lives. As the hub has joined the global Shaping Fashion movement, its action focused on 2 areas:

• Collaboration with universities (University of Deusto & University of Mondragon) to place giant panels so that people could describe their viewpoint about the impact of fast fashion, as well as ways to reduce it.


• Collaboration with a local cloth gathering partner (Koopera) to assist on a cloth donation event, which consisted on taking clothes that people inserted in the bins placed near the panels. Additionally, two local influencers (@juditsite, @jbnitez04) helped us on gaining awareness.

Impact: Generated in two ways:

• Raise awareness of citizens.


• Lead the dialogue between universities and students to drive change.

Goals:

• Raise awareness about the relevance of fast fashion in the future of our planet. Impact measure: Number of participants.


• Lead the dialogue to establish new relationships between institutions. Impact measure: New available partnerships for future Hub projects.
