In 2018, as part of the Global Shapers Community initiative, Shaping Fashion, Dusseldorf hub worked with Just C to host a week of Fashion Revolution events in Bonn. The first event was a documentary screening of The True Cost. After watching the film, participants sat and discussed what they could do as individuals, students, or upcycling designers, to improve the fashion industry based on what they saw in the documentary. The following weekend, a clothing-swap party and an upcycling workshop were held, to provide informed people action ideas. Many clothes were exchanged, while some of the unwanted ones were upcycled the next day during a workshop, which was featured live on Instagram. The whole week of events was held in the Tannenbusch house, a space of trust that promotes co-creation, diversity and sustainability.
