The apparel industry has grown to have one of the largest impacts globally on both people and the planet. From pollution, waste, water over-consumption, and human rights violations, our clothing is contributing to massive environmental and social issues. But this doesn’t have to be the story. Shaping Fashion is a long-term awareness-raising project with one large day-long annual event, hosted in Minneapolis St Paul, Minnesota. The event and campaign features speakers, workshops, and an ethical marketplace experience ready to give you the opportunity to explore your own sustainable fashion journey. Be it through an interest in or commitment to labor rights, human rights, or the environment, the hub believes consumers are a key piece in creating a fair fashion industry. This project is designed to educate attendees about the social and environmental impact of the fashion industry, and also provide tangible and inspiring actions they can take to be a part of the solution.

This project has taken place over multiple years beginning in 2019, including a virtual event in 2020, with plans for an in-person continuation in 2022.
