Shaping the Future in Croatia

After a period of prolonged crisis and following Croatia’s entry into the European Union, the country has faced a significant outflow of its labor force. Increasing emigration trends are evident both among high and low-skilled individuals, mostly due to the labor market impairment and to the lack of positive perspectives after years of recession. This situation is more prominent in rural areas where there is a more important lack of knowledge on opportunities.

To address these issues, Zagreb Hub has launched the project "Shaping the Future of Croatia." The hub is looking to present opportunities to improve the everyday lives of disabled people in rural areas through lectures led by highly educated individuals with disabilities and by organizing social gatherings with specialized equipment. The project also seeks to inform young people, in particular in rural areas, of potential professional careers through lectures led by successful entrepreneurs and employees with vocational training.
