Sharing Values

Schools in rural, conflict zone have unique set of problems to solve inorder to improve the quality of school education. One of the many problems is upgrading the knowledge of school teachers to keep pace with the changing trends. Training and awareness session on ICT, Innovative teaching learning methodologies are essential ingredients to improve the quality of learning for school children.


Our project will serve as a reinforcement of qualitative improvement in school education through means of interaction, activity, and the sharing of ideas and know-how with school teachers. The target audience of the project is school teachers, administrators, managers, principals in rural areas, border region and conflict zone.  The sessions will be carried out by Shapers voluntarily and experts will be invited when required.


Thematic interaction session and workshop are the proposed solution of the project. Activity will attempt to cover Understanding the profession and the shift from traditional to 21st Century education


- Identifying and understanding learning styles of student with Learning difficulty


- Effective and student centric Teaching methodology


- Motivation and open discussion and case study” to schools in the rural areas.


SHORT-TERM GOALS:


=> Integrating basic IT in the teaching-learning process to make learning more interesting.


=> Better identification and understanding from the teachers towards students with learning difficulties.


=> More enthusiasm to take the learning beyond the classroom and integrate natural surrounding and teaching aids.


=> Better understanding, handling, managing classroom situations. 


LONG-TERM GOALS:


ESTABLISHMENT OF TEACHERS' LEARNING CIRCLES: The formation of learning circles will be established across trained schools to enable teachers to learn from one another. Facilitate Peer Group Meetings to follow up Action Plans developed by participants during/after training.


Two sessions have been conducted till date, comprising of roughly 6 hrs. Over 50 teachers and administrators have been benefitted through the session. Four shapers who are professional in this field, conducts the session.
