ShelterTech

ShelterTech is a project that started in 2016 to help tackle homelessness in San Francisco. Since then it has become a 50 person strong volunteer-led organisation that builds digital tools for the homeless and other under-served communities of the city. It distributes WiFi and internet in homeless shelter, organises events to bridge the gap between the tech and homeless communities in the city and has built askdarcel.org, an online repository of social services that is now contracted by the City of San Francisco.
