Soweto Pad Drive

Promotes Education: Girls who don't have access to sanitary pads may miss class while they're having their periods, which will seriously interfere with their ability to learn. By giving girls pads, you can ensure that they can attend class consistently and lower the likelihood that they will fall behind in their academics.

Girls who have access to sanitary pads are more capable of managing their period hygiene with pride and self-assurance. They feel better about themselves and can engage in a variety of activities without feeling

uncomfortable or afraid.

Sanitary pads are necessary for maintaining proper menstrual hygiene, which relates to health and hygiene. The use of sanitary pads lowers the risk of infections and other health issues that may result from the use of insufficient or unhygienic substitutes.

Goals of the project:

Breaking Taboos: By giving pads to elementary school students, you help eliminate the stigma and taboos associated with menstruation. It conveys the strong message that menstruation is a normal biological process and should not be humiliated.

Gender Equality: Providing girls with access to sanitary products is a step in the direction of gender parity. It helps level the playing field in terms of educational and social possibilities while acknowledging the difficulties experienced by

girls.
