Study on Affordable Housing

PROBLEM STATEMENT:

Prepare the ground for the creation of a new social enterprise that seeks to provide affordable housing solutions in Germany.


TARGET GROUP:

Citizens of Munich


PROPOSED SOLUTION:

Performed a study on affordable housing based on a prepared survey performed with students in Munich to come up with concrete solutions.  


HUB ACTIVITIES:

Affordable housing is an increasingly dramatic issue in Europe's major cities. People that are crucial in our lives, including nurses, educators or policemen, are often not able to afford the high rental fees and thus need to live in the outskirts and bear with long commuting times. In the mid of 2015, the Global Shapers Munich Hub supported Ananda Ventures in researching the topic of affordable housing in Germany's major cities. Ananda Ventures is a Munich based social investment fund founder by Young Global Leader Johannes Weber.
