FA.VELA is a nonprofit endeavour, focused on taking the knowledge from the asphalt to the alleys of slums, stimulating the development of favelas from within. 

O FA.VELA é um empreendimento sem fins lucrativos, com o foco em levar conhecimentos do asfalto para os becos e ruas do morros e aglomerados, para estimular o desenvolvimento da favela para a favela. 

In order to achieve this goal, FA.VELA needs to raise funds collaboratively for PIPA (Program of Participatory Intervention in Agglomerates), aimed to provide mentorship, apprenticeship, business acceleration and financial support to entrepreneurs in Morro do Papagaio, one of the biggest slums in Belo Horizonte (MG). This initiative is viable because there is a network of partners and volunteers who are up for the challenge and willing to get involved.

The Global Shapers Belo Horizonte Hub has been committed to providing capabilities and support for this initiative to flourish, including mobilizing the Global Shapers Network in Brazil and abroad, renovating the physical space of FA.VELA, assisting with the crowdfunding campaign, promoting the project's visibility, sharing best practices with FA.VELA staff and promoting capacity building training and mentorship to entrepreneurs selected to participate in the Program.

Para isso precisa financiar colaborativamente o PIPA (Programa de Intervenção Participativa em Aglomerados), dando mentoria, aprendizagem, aceleração de negócios e aporte financeiro para empreendedores do Morro do Papagaio, umas das maiores favelas de Belo Horizonte (MG). O que torna a proposta viável é uma rede de parceiros e voluntários que toparam este desafio e vão colocar a mão na massa.

O Hub de Belo Horizonte do Global Shapers têm provido capacidades e apoios necessários para que essa iniciativa floresça, incluindo a mobilização da rede, reforma do espaço, campanha de crowdfunding, promoção da visibilidade da iniciativa, troca de conhecimentos e experiências com os colaboradores do FA.VELA, além de promoção de capacitações e mentoria para os empreendedores selecionados.
