The German IT sector severely lacks women, with Germany being one of the least equal European countries regarding gender parity in this field. A steep drop in women’s participation in tech happens with the transition to higher education already. Young women in Germany need to have role models and real world experiences, so that they can picture themselves in the tech sector. Our aim is to connect high school students with companies to get them access to these role models, experiences, and opportunities. We plan to do so by organizing visits to various companies that offer interesting tech jobs.
