TECHUP TEACHERS PROJECT

The Uyo Hub's TECHUP TEACHERS project in line with SDG 4 which is the hub’s core focus area was designed to empower teachers in rural communities with essential digital literacy skills.

The project focused on equipping teachers with essential skills in using digital tools such as Google Classroom for effective lesson delivery and administration of tests and assignments.

Additionally, it was aimed at laying a good technological foundation for rural school learners through their teachers who have neither access to a computer nor the skill to use it.

During the first implementation phase, 20 teachers from 3 rural schools were trained in a 2-day event.
Objectives of the Project are:
1. Foster digital literacy among educators in rural communities, promoting a more engaging and interactive learning environment.
2. Equip teachers with the necessary knowledge to integrate educational technology tools like Google Classroom into their teaching methods.
