The Gift of Water

Many Filipino communities' water supply were affected by Super Typhoon Rai (Odette). Clean drinkable water was hard to come by and some people died of dehydration. The Gift of Water project helped increase awareness of the on-going issue of having no access to potable water sources in the wake of the super typhoon. By conducting a fundraising activity, the goal was to increase awareness about the lack of access to clean potable water post-typhoon and also about the overall water issue around the world.

The project successfully raised Php 121,159.71 in funds that were used to purchase 150 boxes (15,000 tablets) of Aqua Tabs, 15 units of AIDFI filters, and 12 units of LifeStraw Family 2.0. All of these were able to provide approximately 30,360,000 liters of clean drinking water to the affected communities.
