The Progress Curve

Activities:

In conjunction with “Shapers Development Month”, Global Shapers Community Bandar Seri Begawan would like to execute a four-weeks project titled, “The Progress Curve”. The name is inspired by “the Learning Curve” theory. The Progress Curve is a two-month event that focuses on upskilling. The programme will consist of workshops, mentorship sessions, and casual chats. These sessions will be led by invited guests (of different organisations) or Shapers from Bandar Seri Begawan Hub or other hubs. With the theme of “Progress: It’s part of the Learning Curve”, this project hopes to motivate and empower Shapers to impart their knowledge and support to become more prepared leaders and to mobilise better and meaningful impacts that would support Wawasan Brunei 2035 (Brunei Vision 2035), Sustainable Development Goals and Global Shapers Community Impact Areas.

Goal:

The programme is targeted especially for Shapers in the hub as well as other youth leaders in the Brunei Youth Council as an opportunity to sharpen their soft skills as leaders in the community, and hence become effective leaders.

Objectives:

  • To provide Shapers and members of partner organizations to enhance and learn new skills to support them in their journey of creating impact.

  • To serve as a strategic collaboration platform for Shapers, professional and friendly organisations in sharing best practices.

  • To strengthen Brunei’s Wawasan (Vision) 2035:,Goal 1: well educated and highly skilled people. This correlates with Global Shapers Community impact area: Reskill for the future.

  • To reinforce Sustainable Development Goals (SDG): Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth and Goal 17 : Partnership for (all) the goals
