The Reskilling and Upskilling Lab

The Reskilling and Upskilling Lab aims to train young people between the ages of 17 and 28 and later expand its scope to include older people in the acquisition and improvement of technological skills, promoting their adaptation to the rapid changes in the digital world.


Our mission is to create an inclusive and innovative environment that encourages continuous learning, entrepreneurship and active participation in society.


1.Digital and Social Inclusion: Democratising access to technology and education, especially for older people, promoting their digital and social inclusion for active and meaningful participation in society.

2. Promoting Continuous Learning: Fostering a culture of continuous learning and adaptation to technological innovations, ensuring that participants are prepared to face future challenges.

3. Building Networks and Collaboration: Facilitating the creation of networks and partnerships, encouraging collaboration between participants, academic institutions, organizations and companies for joint action on social impact projects.

4. Development of Relevant Skills: Empower participants with up-to-date and relevant technological skills, with a view to strengthening their competitiveness in the labour market and enabling the development of impact businesses.

  • Number of participants enrolled in the program over time.

  • Program completion rate among participants.

  • Number of mentoring hours provided to participants during the program.

  • Space and Technology: Quantity and quality of technological equipment acquired with funding.

  • Number of multifunctional rooms and technology labs available to participants.

  • Utilization of collaborative space and relaxation areas by participants.

  • Community and Engagement: Number of events organized to promote networking and interaction among participants.

  • Growth of the online community (forums, study groups) and participant engagement.

  • Participant retention rate in the community post-program completion.

Needs:

Funding: Amount of funding raised relative to the established goal. We need approximately 5k usd to acquire the necessary computers.


Partnerships: Successful implementation of the partnership with Recode, evaluated based on criteria such as target audience reach, quality of training provided, and impact on participants.


Impact Areas: Digital Identity Civic Participation, Gender Parity
