Upskilling Refugees in Ghana

In answering the simple question, how does the future of work for refugees look like? Cape Coast Hub embarked on a project to create economic self-reliance for refugees in Egyeikrom Refugee Camp-Ghana (refugees from Cote D’Ivoire). Cape Coast Hub visited the camp with the approval of the Ghana Refugee Board.

Facilitators from Cape Coast Hub went through a series of sessions and dialogue to assess refugee's skill set. The major challenges refugees are facing include skills development, market access, working space, and language barrier. The second phase of the project involved training the refugees to create a sustainable self-reliant household.
