The Gaya Hub's initiative gained momentum this year, building on the lessons learned from the pilot project. We successfully completed our Project Warmth 2.O on 25th December covering more than 50+ families . The initiative provided essential items such as Blankets and shawls to the homeless residents, significantly impacting the lives of some of the most vulnerable members of the community. Nutrient-packed food items were also distributed, acknowledging the importance of nourishment in combating the winter cold. In light of the fresh upsurge in COVID-19 cases, masks were included in the donations, emphasizing the commitment to the health and well-being of the recipients. The completion of the second phase of the winter support initiative marks a significant milestone for the Gaya Hub. The positive outcomes achieved in 2022 served as a foundation for the hub's commitment to expanding its reach and impact in the years to come. In response to the evolving needs of the community, the Gaya Hub plans to implement a targeted locality approach. This strategic shift aims to concentrate efforts in areas with a higher concentration of homeless individuals, ensuring that resources are directed where they are needed the most. As the Gaya Hub looks forward to 2024 with renewed enthusiasm, the focus remains on fostering collaboration, increasing community engagement, and creating a sustainable model for providing warmth and support to those in need.
