Global Shapers Peshawar Hub took the initiative of the project for conserving water at the religious center, Mosque- where on daily basis a large amount of water is consumed for ablution purposes. The reason for targeting the Mosque was to sensitize the masses on large about the importance of water conservation and to make normal the practices of saving water.

The main objective of the project was to replace the water taps - that are used for ablution, with a special kind of taps that limit water usage. Now, the water will not be in continuous flow when turned on. The new taps will automate on a single tap releasing water in intervals; when you remove the hand it will automatically stop.

As a result a huge amount of water will be conserved: an estimate of 1,371 liters of water per day and 500,415 liters per year.
