What do the young people of Manizales think? opinion piece

What do the young people of Manizales think? is a bi-monthly opinion space in which the members of the Global Shapers Hub Manizales (GSM) express their ideas, positions, proposals and reflections on critical issues at the local, regional, national and international levels. The space is held at the Newspaper La Patria (www.lapatria.com), the main printed and digital of the state of Caldas, Colombia. The opinion piece is published in Spanish, in the printed and digital version of the newspaper.


 


The piece started on 17th of April 2017, and has been published continuously since then, with a total of 76 columns written by 30 columnists. The opinions expressed in the column are in the personal capacity of the columnist, and not of the GS community, although the space is assigned only to members of GSM.


 


Goals


To raise the voice of the youth of Manizales in front of the local and national community, with reference to the relevant situations of the local, national and international reality.

·       For the publication of the columns there is a global shaper in charge of editing the texts and style correction for every piece. Later, other members are in charge of promoting the column on social media and the web
