Shapers are initiating a movement called ILOILOvation, in collaboration with local government, academia, business and civil society, to promote and create a thriving innovation ecosystem. Shapers are working with the Local Economic and Investment Promotions Office to develop this space.
 
ILOILOvation has three main components. First, innovation challenges will engage the public, particularly young people, to co-create solutions to pressing problems locally. Challenge winners will be supported by tech incubators in the city. Second, Shapers will engage business to secure a fund to provide seed capital to the most promising innovations.

Finally, Iloilo Hub will work with students to develop a collaboration platform (including challenge participants, start-ups and seed-funders) to map the local innovation ecosystem and strengthen collaboration within it.
