We are working on a project to increase support for and participation of young people on boards. We have identified two key problem statements that we wish to address:

1. Young people are unaware of opportunities to be on boards and do not know how to access these positions effectively; and


2. Young people are not supported when in board positions with effective training, membership and guidance, leading to tokenism.

The goals of the project are:

1. To increase youth participation on boards and governance positions, particularly in the not-for-profit sector; and


2. Increase support for young people currently sitting in board or governance positions.
