The development sector in Egypt which consists of CSO, agencies, local and international organizations is critical in facing the contemporary socio-economic challenges facing society. In order to tackle socio-economic challenges faced, the sector relies on its workforce to design and implement innovative solutions. Apart from the private sector, the development sector does not spend as many funds on employer branding to reach future job seekers and thus many are not aware of the current job opportunities and career paths inside the sector. Thus to ensure that a pool of youth from different backgrounds are ready and equipped with the knowledge needed to join the job sector, an intervention is needed to raise awareness regarding the career opportunities in the development sector.

Z Shapers fills this gap, by offering market awareness sessions to ensure that participants have a better overview of the development sector and can plan their career paths. The project targets university students to support them in planning their careers after graduation and to motivate them to start their careers in the development sector.

Goal

To Increase Youth exposure to the development Sector. Covering different contemporary socio-economic challenges to widen youth's perspective and support them in understanding the interlinkages. 

Target

To introduce 25 youths to key players in the development sector, their various types of interventions, and their possible career paths.
