GLOBAL SHAPERS COMMUNITY - ZAGREB HUB for library in elementary school Novo Čiče
 
Global shapers Zagreb hub together with partners collected books for the new library in elementary school in the village of Novo Čiče.
 
In September 2015, after 10 years of waiting the pupils from Novo Čiče, a small village near Croatia’s capital city Zagreb, have finally entered the new building of their elementary school. Unfortunately, no funds were planned to equip the new library with something that these kids needed the most: the books.
The librarian Jelena Šaban started a public plea, asking for help to raise the money that was needed to buy books. She also started the online crowdfunding campaign to raise not only money, but also awareness and sensibility among people in Croatia and the world.
