We are implementing the 4Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Replace) to acheieve the goal of reducing the Plastic Waste in all the branches of the Bank of Palestine to Zero.

Our input as Global shapers is:

  Assessment: Audit the current plastic waste generation and determine the main sources and usage of plastics (plastic cups, plastic bags, …).

  Site Analysis: Identify the locations and numbers of the collection bins and determine if they are well-located, enough, and accessible to all employees. (Site visit in coordination between the bank and the HR) 

  
  


• 
  

  Propose alternatives for each category that is cost-effective for the bank with the help of the procurement department. 

  
  


• 
  

  Help the Bank raise awareness and call employees to action by providing them with environmental-awareness-guidelines, and methods to re-share and adapt to the new green culture.

  Set the Green nudges that should be used with the Bank as highlighting other’s sustainable behavior (publicize the departments that use less plastic to encourage the others.

  Green playbook: Easy - Simple Document, where we provide the bank with the tools and strategies to make their branches more eco-friendly and are applicable to any other companies.

  Expose the bank's efforts and successes.

  Help the bank in organizing awareness workshops for employees.
