Eco-Friendly Religion: Preserving the Faith

Religious institutions hold a significant place in social, religious and political spheres in India and in many countries around the world. They act as places of community congregation and inspire a sense of pride among the community members. Nagpur Hub wants to tap this potential and establish these institutions as models for society to spread awareness and motivate people to act as messengers to adopt environmentally friendly practices in more temples and in their own homes.

To achieve this goal, the project has been designed as an initiative to mitigate the impact of religious practices on the environment by promoting waste management and other eco-friendly solutions through collaboration with a local Hindu temple (for the scope of this project) and bringing about positive and environmentally sustainable changes in its functioning, while at the same time keeping religious sensitivities in mind at all times.
