Global Youth Social Entrepreneurship Summit Kathmandu

The Global Youth Social Entrepreneurship Forum 2022 is initiated by the Global Shapers Community Chengdu Hub and co-hosted by Global Shapers Community Beijing Ⅱ Hub, Hangzhou Hub, Guangzhou Hub, Beijing I Hub, Hong Kong Hub, Shenzhen Hub and Kathmandu Hub. Aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goals, the forum aims to raise public awareness of social innovation and equip the youth with social innovation mindset and tools through site visits, training, mentorship, dialogues, and pitch events. The forum brings together the thought leaders, entrepreneurs, policy-makers from the social innovation space to develop a new generation of social entrepreneurs.

 

As a co-host, the Kathmandu Hub is leading a session on "the triple bottom line" as part of the summit. The hub is also supporting cross-hub marketing, recommend speakers, recruit pitching teams, and help connect partners.


At a local level the Kathmandu Hub will be leading the following activities:


  1. The hub is collaborating with CNIYEF, a private sector youth network, for their Startup fest, where the hub has added a category for Social Entrepreneurship and the winner will be given mentorship by some of the Kathmandu Hub members who are experts in the field.

  2. The hub is collaborating with with Kathmandu University’s Social Entrepreneurship Course where the hub will be leading a workshop and helping during their final demo day. On success of this workshop, it will be replicated in other colleges in Nepal and will continue after the summit has ended.

  3. The hub is hosting a panel discussion with individuals in the social business space with an audience from or interested in the industry and college students.
