Shaper Project Lead: Pepe Diokno

Shape Cinema is a bi-monthly screening of a Filipino or South East Asian film, open to Shapers, friends, and the public. Each screening will be followed by an Q&A with the filmmakers, or specialists in related fields to discuss the impact of the film. A special focus will be placed on films that are independent and socially relevant; the type that doesn’t get fair play in mainstream cinemas. To date, the Manila hub has shown screenings of films in line with specific holidays: For the remembrance of Martial Law, World Day of Indigenous Peoples, and Earth Day.
