Tippeni Health Post

In the aftermath of the 2015 earthquake, the Global Shapers Kathmandu Hub identified the healthpost in Tippeni as a focus of rebuilding effort due to that fact the nearest hospital was a 3 hours drive away, and its location in Sindhupalchowk district was at the top list of most-devastated areas due to the Earthquake.

The hub raised more than $100,000 to rebuild the healthpost which provided high quality service delivery to residents of the area, who cannot afford to travel for treatment and also prefered to go there for low-cost high-quality service.

After intensive rounds of schematic reviews, on-site sub-structure assessments, as well as clearing up of the road to the healthpost due to frequent landslides, the healthpost was rebuilt and started serving the nearby communities in full capacity by 2018.
