The Urban Bird Guides Training was a 2-session training programme catered for out-of-school youth who were interested in gaining knowledge about bird watching as an opportunity to turn it into their source of livelihood. The programme was designed to train participants to be birdwatching guides in Metro Manila. In total, 20 out-of-school youth were trained with the Urban Birdwatching Guide.

The programme included:

Session 1: Lecture on basics of birdwatching (binoculars 101), safety during birdwatch, expectations, hike around UP campus for birdwatching

Session 2: Birdwatching - Urban Birds
