Impact

Young Inventor

The goal of this project is to select schools without exposure to invention and, in the first phase, conduct an awareness workshop on an introduction to invention, ultimately establishing a 'Young Inventors' Club' in the school. In the second phase, the Shapers will conduct a two day training on developing your own invention. In the third phase, Shapers will organize a school level exhibition and give certificates to participants.

Goals:

Short term impact is to introduce school children to invention and to inspire them to think outside the box. Furthermore, the project's goals are to encourage students to observe their environment and community, identify problems and find solutions. Long term impact is to make invention a continued practice in the school through the Club and to inspire generations ahead in problem solving. This will eventually deviate children from traditional book learning to thinking based learning.
