The Kisumu hub has been at the forefront of the COVID-19 response in Western Kenya. We have participated in door-door household visits, and the capacity building of health care workers.  Furthermore, we have addressed key issues resulting from lockdown measures. One of our major projects in addition to maximizing handwashing and maskwearing in our communities is implementing a mentorship program for adolescent girls to reduce teenage pregnancy rates which rose dramatically during school closures.
