30 DAYS OF GREEN

Problem Statement: As much as the Kenyan public is trying to be environmentally conscious, locally it is difficult to access green products. There is a need to put a spotlight on where to easily find green products/solutions. This will enable the Kenyan community to easily access environment friendly resources and also provide a marketing platform for our partner's green products.


Proposed Solution: Nairobi Hub conducts an annual 30-days social media campaign to showcase the efforts of 30 different partner organizations in advancing environmental conservation and restoration efforts whilst highlighting opportunities for youth in Kenya to be involved in these efforts. In 2020 the Hub’s main goal was to advance sustainable consumption by showcasing green product alternatives supplied by our partner organizations and creating a green product catalogue at the end of the campaign.


Hub Activities: 



Identifying and establishing partnerships with local green products/solution providers.

Social media posts to educate the public on environment friendly products and market our partner's products.

More than 100 social media posts on each of the hubs social media pages(twitter, Facebook. Instagram, LinkedIn).


Two twitter chat sessions were held during the 2020 campaign.


A 7 minute YouTube video on easy tips on promoting zero waste and recycling.
