Adoptē Deputātu or Adopt a Parliamentary Politician is a project which seeks to involve more young people within poltical procceses while also ensuring more accountability towards members of the parliament. The core of the project is a platform, in which young people are able to "adopt" one of the 100 parliamentary members. Once "adoptation" has taken place, young people recieve materials on how to track politicians' voting records, see their achievements and engage with them. Global Shapers, in turn, are creating a data base, that could help Latvian voters make more informed decisions in the future, as well as, we are organising different events where our "foster-parents" can engage with their "adopted" politicians - panel discussions, informal one-on-one conversations, etc. 

Project objectives:

1. Showcase how young people can engage with decision makers; 

2. Help our community make more informed decisions when voting; 

3. Boost accountability.
