Since its inception in 2013, the Kano hub of the Global Shapers community has consistently championed the Blood Drive Project as a hallmark initiative. The primary objective of this project is twofold: to cultivate awareness regarding the crucial significance and benefits of voluntary blood donation, and to instill a habitual commitment to this life-saving practice.

Key to the sustained success of the project has been the establishment and nurturing of strategic partnerships. Collaborations have been forged with both health and non-health-related organizations and individuals, as well as hospitals entrusted with the collection, storage, and accountable distribution of the donated blood. This multi-faceted approach ensures the project's resilience and impact over the years.

One notable outcome of the Blood Drive Project is the provision of free medical screening to all participants. Beyond the immediate benefits of blood donation, this extended initiative contributes to community well-being by offering essential healthcare services, further reinforcing the project's holistic impact.
