بوصلتي BAWSALATI

Within the Moroccan education system, there is a noticeable absence of orientation days and a lack of guidance for young students, especially during their time in secondary school. As this is their initial experience in making a major life decision, it is crucial for them to gain comprehensive insights and self-awareness about their interests and preferences.
Our primary target audience comprises secondary school students in Salé city, aged between 12 and 16. To create a comprehensive experience, we extend our invitation to their parents, encouraging them to attend our sessions and workshops as well. So far, we have successfully organized three workshops and an orientation day.
During the orientation day, we bring in university students from various majors and professionals such as engineers, teachers, entrepreneurs, and doctors. They generously share insights into their own academic and career journeys, providing valuable information about the choices they made and the reasons behind their decisions. The main objective is to ignite inspiration and motivate these young individuals to pursue their passions and interests with enthusiasm. In the three workshops that followed, we addressed essential skills necessary for self-discovery and informed decision-making about future majors and career paths. Some of these skills include critical thinking, problem-solving, time management, adaptability, teamwork, and identifying one's unique selling point.
In our efforts to equip them for the future, we want to prepare the students for what lies ahead, so we help them understand how industries are constantly changing and moving quickly. We also show them all the different new job opportunities and majors that have become available in this century. This knowledge gives them the power to make informed choices about their future career paths.
In addition to the career-oriented aspects, we also provided valuable advice on organizing their studies and managing time efficiently, specifically when it comes to preparing for exams and completing assignments effectively.
Until now, we have impacted 318 students from Allama Mohamed ben Ali Doukkali School, that we have a partnership of 2 years long with. And with the presence of 6 mentors that delivered the workshops. For the coming 6 months we aim to deliver self-awareness and mental health workshops as well for the students, and the main objective for the coming 2 years is to target 5000 students and extend the project to 3 other different schools in our city.
